Is it worth me subscribing to enCAST?

Although it’s free to have a basic profile on the site and submit to some jobs, there are some very good reasons to subscribe to the site and become a Pro Actor.

A free profile has your calling card – your 2 headshots & some brief information about you.

When you subscribe you can make an improved profile featuring:

1. up to 15 headshots
2. all your showreels
3. all your CVs
4. all your soundfiles and voicefiles
5. all your links (IMDB, social media, etc)
6. a large biographical section
7. be seen first by Casting Directors
8. and much more…

We have a powerful and extensive search engine on the site which is used a lot by Casting Directors who are looking for actors.

They will often bypass posting a casting call and instead look for specific actors (e.g. who speak native English, who live in Berlin, etc) and then contact them directly.

If you are a subscribed actor, you appear on the search engine and can be contacted by CDs. Free actors do not.

If you are a free actor on enCAST (that is, you do NOT have a paid subscription) then you can still apply to ALL non-paid and expenses-only jobs we post.

Also, 24 hours before a casting closes we often open them up so that free actors can apply to them as well.

So if you do not yet have a subscription with us, make sure to keep a good eye on the jobs you’d like to submit for, and the day before they close you should check on the page to apply.

If you’re still not certain whether to subscribe or not, it’s not a problem. You can keep your free subscription as long as you like and keep receiving notifications with casting news and looking through the jobs we have. 

And then once you’ve seen what is on offer here, then maybe it’s time to think about subscribing.
