The End of the Strike?

In Hollywood, there’s exciting news on the horizon as writers are moving closer to ending their nearly 5-month-long strike. They’ve reached a tentative agreement with studios after intensive talks. However, it’s not over yet and the agreement is waiting for formal approval from the board and members of the Writers Guild of America (WGA).

While the specific terms of the deal remain secret, the WGA has described it as “exceptional.” They say that it has significant benefits and safeguards for writers working in the industry.

However, it’s crucial to recognize that the strike continues for Hollywood actors who joined in a “double strike” back in July. This means that many film and television projects remain on hold, and many crew members are still without work.

In the UK too, where many cast and crew are not working due to the strike, there’s worry that even if the strike ends, work will be hard to come by.

For now, it’s wait and see and certainly it’s not going to be easy getting back to normal, especially in the UK, even if the strike ends tomorrow.
