My name is Marija Balaban and I am a 22 year old actress born in Novi Sad, Serbia. Part of my childhood I spent living in California, and at the age of 15 I moved to Austria by myself to study at Graz International Bilingual School. I started working as an actress when I got a lead role in a Serbian TV show called "Pundravci" which aired on national television. I was only 11 years old and completely inexperienced at the time, but my love for acting grew more and more each day and I knew that one day this would be my calling. In 2021 I graduated from Vienna's English Theatre Academy with distinction. At the moment, I am studying filmmaking at SAE Institute in Belgrade. In addition to that, I am producing and directing various short films and commercials. Three years ago I created a fanbase on TikTok and Instagram by filming short sketches of Balkan Mom. I love nature, animals, spirituality, nice, positive and easygoing people and I am always keen on growing and learning more about myself and the world!
