about the project
Casting the low budget short film “The Last Date”. The project is a recreation of the opening scene from the film ’Happiness’ (1998, dir. Todd Solondz).
Logline: A young woman believes that she can break up with her date in a friendly way, but his seemingly amicable reaction takes an unexpected turn.
We’re looking for one female and one male actor for the leading roles.
1 shooting day at the beginning of June at the at SAE Campus in Amsterdam.
Paid: €50 to each actor.
There will be food on the set (your food preferences will be taken into account). You’ll also have access to a restroom and a coffee machine.

About Joy: Joy is kind and empathetic, but she's afraid of making close connections with new people. She's an adult but doesn't care about building a career because her parents support her financially. She cares about the planet and animals and tries to live sustainably. She's great at singing and composing music but doesn't recognize her own talent. She struggles to find a romantic partner because she's afraid to open up and share her life with a stranger.

His main life goals are to have financial stability and start a family. He struggles to find the perfect girl because he's self-conscious despite all his achievements in life.
