SYNOPSIS:
This coming of age drama road short film follows a young boy Jericho, battling with his own identity and role in this dystopian world of controlled breeding. He flees with Viktoria: pregnant and alone seeking refuge in Jericho’s place. The two embark on a journey to find freedom and individuality in Berlin. Along the way the two become closer with each other however, Jericho must make a decision whether or not to stay with Viktoria or return back to his familiar life. What does he really want? Did he bite more off than he can chew?

CONTEXT:
Ruled under the imposed breeding law: Jericho finds himself in a predicament: he doesn’t want to have a wife. He doesn't want to raise a bunch of children. After the death of his mother he realized it is now his turn to live up to the expectations, however he rebels quietly self inflicting his fertility and desirability.
CHARACTERISTICS AND WANTS:
Jericho is incredibly hard working and takes on a lot of household responsibilities but misses deeply the years he’s never had for a time to be a kid and to be freed from such responsibilities. He is soft spoken, caring and absolutely frightened. He is not like everyone else, he does not have the desire to fit in with society. He mainly wants to be supported and understood, which he never gets from his father, who is abusive to him because of Jericho’s medical failures, but hopes to find in Viktoria.

CONTEXT:
Under the rule under the imposed breeding law: she finds refuge at Jericho’s place noticing his own rebellious nature. She convinces him to leave with her to Berlin. Along the journey she starts to become infatuated by the boy and his kindness she decides to have him all to herself till death do us part.
CHARACTERISTICS AND WANTS:
As confident and brave as she may seem she yearns for emotional fulfillment and connection in her life. She believes that keeping Jericho brings her a sense of joy, companionship, and happiness. Vikkie yearns for personal freedom and autonomy, not only for herself but also for her child. She refuses to allow her child to grow up in an oppressive environment where their every decision is predetermined and their individuality is suppressed.

CONTEXT:
Under the rule under the imposed breeding law: Fred finds himself within the government as a low ranking cop living paycheck to paycheck with an alcohol problem. After losing his wife Natalia to 2nd childbirth it is only himself and his son Jericho left. He finds himself unable to overcome his grieve but also unable to provide society with a worthy son.
CHARACTERISTICS AND WANTS:
Frederick wasn’t always like this, he was kind and gentle but was stern only when needing to be. His charisma and dad humor arise from time to time however is mostly overshadowed by the grief he hasn’t gotten over his wife. His problem revolves around the emotional journey of grieving and healing as a single father within the controlled breeding community: He wants to find his sense of purpose again but he really isn't sure how and where to start. He is absolutely lost and takes out his frustrations and panic of not being able to find answers into Jericho.
