Logline: Jamal and Malik, spend their days hooping, dreaming of something bigger. But when a run-in with a local troublemaker drags them into his mess, one Night forces them to face a harsh reality they can’t outrun.
Synopsis: Jamal and Malik grew up together playing basketball in the same neighborhood, and even though they changed the hood did not. Their simple life takes a sharp turn when Reggie a known hustler and con invites them to a scheme although they decline it leads them to end up taking the fall for his crime. They end up with a violent confrontation which shows them the reality of the world they live in.

He dreams of playing professionally but fears it may never happen, worrying he’ll be stuck in the neighborhood forever.

He is well-known in the neighborhood as a hustler and con artist, often underestimated despite his cunning. He presents himself as a safety net for the younger kids but ultimately drags them into dangerous situations. While he can be smooth and persuasive, he is ruthless toward those who refuse to help him.

Ralph is younger and skinnier than the others. He looks up to Johnson and follows him without question. He never picks a fight he knows he’ll lose but goes too far when he’s winning. Deep down, he fears his friends. While less certain than the others, he always falls in line in the end.
Brock

Growing up in a dangerous environment made Brock numb to his surroundings. Calmer than the others, he doesn’t seek out fights but never backs down when challenged. He is fiercely loyal to Johnson and has known him for years. With a strong build, he stands his ground when necessary.
