about the project
We’re looking for fun and friendly actors to do a three week tour around Manchester and its surrounding counties for our wonderful pantomime Aladdin in schools.
You will be part of a group of three actors doing between one and three shows a day for five days a week with some Saturdays or Sundays (which are paid additionally).
Our company is going into its twelfth year, and our ethos is ‘fun’, we want our employees to enjoy their job just as much as the children you’ll be entertaining enjoy the shows!
Auditions held on 11th October and rehearsals for three days in Manchester between 24th – 26th November 2022.
Paying between £375 – £425 pw.

ALADDIN
Wonderfully energetic and intelligent protagonist. He is the classic hero, warm, charming and witty. The actor will need to be able to interact with the audience and other characters with ease. Aladdin compliments the other characters and steadily keeps the show alive, which is why we are looking for a similar person to fulfil the role.
There will be one driver per team, so driving is a plus but not a necessity, we only hire cars, or we can pay to use yours. Between £375 - £425 p/w. You'll need to be Manchester based for this role.

WIDOW TWANKEY
Classic as ever in our story. She is silly, cheeky and yet loveable with great comedic timing. Twankey has some fun one liners and loves playing around with the audience and other characters.
There will be one driver per team, so driving is a plus but not a necessity, we only hire cars, or we can pay to use yours. Between £375 - £425 p/w. You'll need to be Manchester based for this role. Salary GBP 375.00 - 425.00 / weekly

PRINCESS JASMINE/ABANAZER
A timeless and classic “baddie”, she is a fun character with lots of physicality. Abanazer is quick witted and not usually out done by other characters. She also doubles up as the Princess Jasmine. Aladdin’s love interest and it turns out, a loyal side kick. A great opportunity to have two very different characters in the space of an hour.
There will be one driver per team, so driving is a plus but not a necessity, we only hire cars, or we can pay to use yours. Between £375 - £425 p/w. You'll need to be Manchester based for this role. Salary GBP 375.00 - 425.00 / weekly
