about the project
For a short film, titled ”Granny DJ”.
”Granny DJ” is part of a larger Anthology Horror feature Film titled ”Virus Detected” about electronic appliances behaving strangely following an Electrical Storm. ”Granny DJ” is a story following GRANNY and her Daughter HANNAH, as they hunt for missing Granddaughter LOLA in a cyberpunk rave- infested with silent disco crazed zombie creatures- the SMILERS.
Please note we plan to create branding/NFTS/logos created around the image of the GRANNY DJ character. We are producing this 10-minute story for the feature film.
Filming is due for 19,20,22nd July.

We are looking for our Granny- someone with a spark and a sarcastic, yet secretive tone. We want her to feel like she could be your every day Granny, who one day decided to change her life. No special fitness or movement/fighting skills are necessary. We are open to all ages and looks but please note we may be shooting a night shoot.
About the role: Granny DJ is dying of terminal cancer and has decided to kick her husband out of the house and push her entire family away from her- in order to protect them from the pain of being close to her as she deteriorates from her illness. She has also decided to take on a new lease of life and become a Cyberpunk DJ. She still enjoys trips to the seaside and playing Bingo with her friends (her Bingo winnings play a vital role in the film later on).
