SWITZERLAND: actors (m/f) 17-80 English spkrs, for theatre in Geneva [NP]
project title: Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing
production type: theatre
pay: non paid
looking for: actors
based in/around: Geneva, Switzerland
about the project
Our production of “Much Ado About Nothing” is set in 1950s mafia Italy, where women’s tongues are faster than machine-gun bullets, the coffee is strong, and the policemen are asleep.
The play will be directed by Sofie Qwarnstrom, who directed a sold-out production of The Crucible last year, and who is writing a PhD thesis on the psychological significance of Shakespeare’s plays.
Auditions will be arranged at the actors’ earliest convenience.
The performance is scheduled for the end of October in Geneva, and rehearsals will span through the summer, until then.
Due to the company being new and due to the very large cast, we are not able to pay our actors at this stage. We will invest any profit in the next show.
