For the student short film, ’IN VURIG ROOD’ by Denise de Lange.
Synopsis: Nathan and Yael meet one evening at the local pub. They immediately feel a click, but they have a totally opposite vision in life. After meeting one night out, Nathan invites Yael to his home. Nathan has trouble opening himself up and doesn’t feel comfortable with his body and sexuality, where Yael is very outspoken and confident. The film shows the dynamics between vulnerable masculinity and the influence of a confident woman.
Shooting is due to take place on Thursday 28 and Friday 29 April.
Production is offering an expense allowance and lunch on location for both days.

He is a modest boy with a friendly attitude. He moves around the room somewhat uncomfortably and does not always immediately let you know what he thinks or thinks.
Nathan has trouble with intimacy and sexuality. He has had a number of relationships in which he has been in love, but does not know how to restrain himself in front of the other. This comes from insecurity about his body and himself
Because the film is dialogue-driven, we are looking for actors who have an interest and ideally experience with this. There is a real chemistry between the two, but Nathan does not know how to relate to this.
