about the project
For an art house/gothic short film we are looking for an actor to play the main role.
It is a low budget project and the mise en scene is very complex consequently the shooting will last from 5 to 6 hours in the late afternoon/evening, the location is a ruined castle, in Southern Netherland in June.
The protagonist is a dandy poet in the 1800, who is going through a moment of deep crisis, existentially and artistically. Alone in a ruined castle and surrounded by ghost he recite a monologue in which he shows all his anguish anger and bewilderment.
The atmosphere is romantic and surrealistic together; in order to convey a Victorian look to the scene we'll put a special lighting together but also costumes and make up .
The short film is part of a longer project that will be produced in the future.
This is a paid collaboration. Additionally, costumes and food will be provided.
