about the project
Seeking fun character actors to take part in our brand new family summer show. A short 30 minute funny play for children on the Norman invasion.
Performing on board various cruise ferries out of England, Wales and Ireland this year.
Rehearsals 30 June-4 July, in Solihull West Midlands; onboard 5 July-8 Sep., at the Cruise Ferry going from Wales to Ireland and Ireland to France.
10 Week Contract.
Rate: £475.00 / week - Free food and accommodation onboard own cabin. Contribution to travel to and from the ship £250 bonus on completion of the contract.
Looking to fill the following roles:

ROLE: Narrator/Performer
m/f, 18-50, based in England (ideally West Midlands).
You will work in two's onboard and be responsible for daytime family activities. Meet and greet in character costume, hosting Karaoke and quizzes. Running arts/crafts sessions, organising drama games, and performing in our two mini family pop up theatre shows. The applicant must have an out going personality. Have great performance skills. Learn lines fast and portray various characters with ease. The ability to run basic arts/crafts sessions and drama games. Have good sea legs. Be comfortable in self-management whilst being a great team member. It is important that the applicant has a clear DBS check. There is a zero alcohol policy onboard all ships. Enjoys working with the family market. Be fit and able to pass an ENG1 Medical. Complete the maritime security awareness course. And most important be loads of fun. Note: Don't forget to let us know if have any other specialities that could be suitable to the programme of events. E.g. Singer with own sets and backing, DJ, Balloon Modelling etc...
