about the project
For an upcoming student short film.
The film is set around an argumentative and eccentric Kurt and Courtney type punk couple who find themselves caught up in a robbery after pulling over to the nearest gas station.
The intention with the film is to create a 15 to 20 minute colourful joyride into a strange and timeless world that balances emotional drama with the inevitable comedy and excitement of the exaggerated situation presented.
Shooting during the week of the 3rd of January 2022.

Three actors to portray the secondary leads, a comedic and masked trio of robbers with varying levels of criminal experience.

A female actor to portray, Maria, one of the two leads.
Maria is an eccentric and enigmatic Marla Singer type of character who embodies one half of the rocky relationship while also being at the emotional core of the film. NB: She has a few lines in Spanish so familiarity with Spanish is a requirement.
A male actor to portray, Pierre, the other lead.
Pierre, a tired, worn out, and flawed artist / writer- type who always wants the last word as he unsuccessfully disguises himself as a put together guy.
A male actor to portray a hippie/ redneck customer character with a fascination for alien abductions.
