Project Title: For Your Own Good - You Are Worth It
Type of project: Short Film - Diploma Project
Casting open to actors in: Switzerland, Italy and Germany.

"For Your Own Good – You Are Worth It" deals with topics of self-love, emotional abuse, and personal growth, showing that true love begins with love for oneself.

Synopsis: Amalia is a young woman trapped in a toxic relationship with her manipulative boyfriend Leo. As Amalia struggles between her love for Leo and her increasing pain, she starts to doubt if she can keep on sacrificing her happiness for Leo’s jealousy and destructive behaviour. Among this storm, Amalia finds safe harbour in her friend Martin and his encouragement to put her own well-being first. Martin’s compassion helps Amalia to realize that love should not mean suffering. As the tension increases, she reaches a breaking point: the metaphorical “jump” from the diving board. A powerful metaphor, this symbolizes Amalia’s difficult decision to break free from Leo’s grip and take back her life.

Shooting Location: Canton of Ticino, Switzerland
Shooting dates: 7th, 10th, 11th, 17th, and 18th of May 2025.
Live rehearsals are scheduled for April 2025, taking place on weekends (exact dates to be confirmed).

As a student film project, we are unable to offer monetary compensation but we do provide the following benefits:
1. Cost Coverage: Meals and Accommodation (you will be invited to stay at our home, no hotel or other lodging).
2. Travel Costs: We can cover up to 100 CHF for the entire travel expense.

2. Language Skills: Comfortable working in an English-speaking environment, with good to excellent English pronunciation.
Preferred Requirements:
1. Experience: Proven experience in portraying complex characters in emotionally charged scenes.
