About the Character: male, 32, born in Dublin, Ireland, an expat semiconductor engineer working in Taichung, Taiwan. Tall, slender. Barely speaks Mandarin. Loves mountain biking. Seeing his parents’ marriage fall apart, Max becomes passive in relationships and doubts about marriage, while the girl he met online, Taiwanese woman Eileen, has different values.
