about the project
I am writing on behalf of my project group from Hochschule Offenburg. We are third-semester students studying mgp (Film Production), and this semester, we aim to bring our short film project ”Ignorance is Bliss” to life.
The film revolves around two young men who venture into a cellar to try an experimental drug. The drug causes them to forget everything, what they initially find entertaining but ultimately leads to a violent confrontation.
The shooting period is from April 29th to May 4th or 5th. The filming location will be in Offenburg or nearby.
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer compensation for the acting itself, but we do provide exposure, experience, collaboration, etc. Travel expenses, accommodation in a hotel, catering, etc., will be covered by Hochschule Offenburg.

Your role as an actor would be to embody one of our two protagonists.
The focus of the performance lies in "experiencing" the "drug-induced state" and the conflict in the cellar, aiming for a portrayal as realistic as possible.
The camera will not identify with either character but maintain a certain neutral distance, almost like in a documentary.
