Ayo Aloba is a Vienna-based Nigerian-Austrian actor, musician, and filmmaker celebrated for his dynamic presence across film, TV, stage, and music.
Background
Born in Nigeria, Ayo Aloba relocated to Austria at age nine and made his performance debut in Michael Jackson's 1992 Dangerous Tour in Vienna. He honed his craft at Rose Bruford Drama School in London, drawing from global influences in dance, music, and acting.
Key Roles
Aloba gained notice playing young Olaudah Equiano in the BBC's "The Extraordinary Equiano" (2007), alongside credits in "Cold Kill" (2020), "Ciao Chérie" (2017), and Disney+'s "Mangata" as Rudo's father. He also wrote and directed his first short film, "Spiral," (2011) winning the Texas Short Black Film Festival.

Recent honors include Best Short Film for "Mangata" at the 2023 Golden Gate Bridge Istanbul Festival, plus the Texas Short Black Film Festival win for "Spiral."
