My name is Nilson Daniel Da Costa David.

I have been an Actor and Commercial Model for 8 years. My career started in Australia, where I lived before moving to the Netherlands with my wife in 2020.

I have been involved in many Australian commercials such as Apple Pay with Commonwealth Bank, Sony and Virgin Airlines, as well as lead and supporting roles in short films, such as Dear Nancy and Ferteliza (both films earned best film in distinct Film Festivals), television series, such as SuperWog and Deadly Women and 1 feature film entitled “I am Woman”.

In the Netherlands, when it comes to commercials, I have worked with brands such as  Heineken, Booking.com, Philips, Riverside, Toblerone and ESPN, and have also been a part of several short films such as, Stockholm, Summer Fling and Promised Land, and one feature film called “The Pod Generation”. “Promised Land” was recently shown in the Rotterdam International Film Festival in January 2023.

I fell in love with acting when I was still a kid and saw actors such as Whoopi Goldberg and Denzel Washington. Seeing them on the screen made me belief that anything was possible. I can cite Chadwick Boseman as one of my most recent inspirations. He became the superhero that I missed growing up. It’s my mission as an actor to be a beacon of light, strength and inspiration for others too, making people feel represented and seen, and showing that it is possible to manifest your dreams.

I am a high-energy actor with a versatility to play many acting archetypes, such as romantic lead, young dad, overbearing or laid back, best friend or enemy, Teacher, Lawyer, Executive, villain, among others. On set you can expect to see me with positive attitude, passion for my work, and thriving on collaborating with other creative minds.
