About Me

Hi! I'm Diego. I was born in Extremadura, Spain, in the wonderful 80s, and I have training in acting, fiction writing and direction of actors. During my twenties I worked as an actor in cinema (Tanger, Dir. Juan Madrid, 2004), several short films and local theater. In 2014, after completing my Master’s Degree in Journalism, I wrote, directed and starred in my first play Tanatorio (Funeral Home), a modest theatrical production against homophobia that I was lucky enough to take to several cities across Spain in 2015.

With La demente (Demented, 2015), a play against gender violence, I continued exploring the social denunciation theater. In 2017 I directed and starred in Una chica especial (A Special Girl) at the recognized theater Microteatro por dinero in downtown Madrid. The play was selected for a comeback in 2018. Since then, I have alternated my passion for writing and acting, taking part in small projects, with my work teaching English as a Foreign Language.

I recently relocated to Germany, where I hope to continue my journey in the performing arts.
