About Me

Although I'm not a professional actor, I've performed quite a few times in alternative theatre settings, in which I was quite successful, judging by the positive reactions of the audience.

Roles that suite me well are priest, pilgrim, shaman, eccentric professor, politician, shrink and evil genius.

In the many years that I worked as a teacher I also constantly needed to work on and develop my acting skills, because this is the best (I would say the only) way to keep the students focused. Many of my students were kids and teenagers, so one can imagine how important it is to be able to act in order to keep their attention, but I found out that even adults are surprisingly much more susceptible to react to good acting than one would imagine.

A good teacher needs to be a good entertainer as well up to a certain degree.

Even the most boring topic can be taught if acting skills are applied as well, combined with a slight dose of dry humour.

Life itself is a theatre, where every one is constantly playing roles. The only difference is that we are usually not aware of it, because many of us get so entangled in their daily roles that they start to believe it's them.

We always show a part of ourselves in every role we play, either in daily life or on stage.
