Your Mini Bio

Your Mini Bio is very important – take time to write it well.

It is the first thing people see on your profile, after your photo. It should be one or two short sentences that say who you are and what you do.

A clear Mini Bio also helps people find you: profiles with a good Mini Bio can appear in Google search results, so more casting directors can discover you.

What your Mini Bio should, and should not, be

Your Mini Bio is a very short description of you. It shows CDs what type of actor you are and what roles you usually play. It should also show your strengths.

How to write or change your Mini Bio #

Your Mini Bio is shown on your profile, so it is easy to see.

To change it go to EDIT MY PROFILE > BASIC INFO.

There is a small space – just one or two sentences (up to 255 characters).

Do not add any links, websites, email addresses or phone numbers. These are removed automatically. Casting directors contact you safely through enCAST, so you never need to put your contact details here.

Your Mini Bio is checked #

To keep enCAST professional, every Mini Bio is checked after you save it. A normal, genuine bio is fine. Please write a true, simple description of yourself – not spam, adverts, or text that is not really a bio. Anything that is not a genuine bio may be removed, and it will not appear in Google search.
