A young boy becomes convinced that a treasure is buried somewhere on his family's modest property, inspired by a story passed down through generations. He enlists the help of his father, and together they hire a metal detector operator to excavate the garden. The search becomes a gentle, bittersweet exploration of hope, disappointment, and the bonds between parent and child.
