A financially struggling sports journalist, tired of being passed over for opportunities, discovers a secret about a mysterious young footballer playing for a lower-league club and attempts to use the story to finally make his name. As he digs deeper, he finds himself entangled in a web of criminal interests who are determined to keep the player's true identity hidden. The journalist must weigh his personal ambitions against the very real dangers that come with exposing the truth.
