A young Sorbian woman returns to her small village in eastern Germany and finds herself caught between her cultural roots and the pull of modern life elsewhere. Her desire to leave clashes with a growing sense of responsibility towards preserving the Sorbian language and traditions of her tight-knit community. The film follows her navigating relationships, identity, and belonging as she tries to reconcile who she is with where she comes from.
