Two young women from a declining industrial town in Tuscany find their lives shaped by the looming presence of a steel plant and the limited futures it represents. One seeks escape through relationships and ambition whilst the other remains more rooted in the working-class community around her. The film explores themes of friendship, desire, and the struggle to find identity against a backdrop of economic decay.
