A young Kurdish-German woman, engaged to be married, faces a crisis when she realises her hymen is no longer intact and fears the consequences within her conservative community. Desperate to conceal her past from her fiancé and family, she seeks a surgical procedure to restore her virginity, navigating a world in which female sexuality is policed by tradition and expectation. The film follows her increasingly fraught attempts to reconcile her own desires and identity with the crushing weight of honour culture.
