A hotel inspector travels across Italy's most luxurious establishments, meticulously evaluating every detail of the guest experience whilst remaining professionally detached from those around her. Despite the elegance of her solitary lifestyle, her encounters with various guests and staff gradually expose the emotional distance she has built between herself and genuine human connection. When an old friend reappears in her life, she is forced to confront whether her independence is truly a choice or simply a form of self-imposed isolation.
