A young Italian nurse, tired of fielding questions from her family about her love life, rashly claims to have a boyfriend and gives herself until Christmas Day to find a real one to present to them. Juggling work pressures and a string of awkward dates, she attempts to manufacture a convincing romance against the clock. The series follows her increasingly complicated efforts to keep up the pretence whilst unexpectedly discovering things about herself along the way.
