A young woman becomes entangled with the immortal Count Dracula after he escapes from a centuries-long imprisonment, and the two develop a darkly romantic bond even as vampire hunters close in to destroy him. Set partly in Kerala, India, the film blends gothic horror with elements of Indian melodrama, following the struggle between Dracula's desire to reclaim his power and the forces determined to end his reign of terror.
