Two adult brothers, Adam and Jonny, return to their parents' suburban home for the weekly Friday night Shabbat dinner, where their eccentric father Martin wanders about in various states of undress, their mother Jackie frets over the cooking, and the peculiar neighbour Jim Goodman appears uninvited with his ageing dog Wilson. Each episode follows the family through a series of mishaps, embarrassing revelations, and running jokes that arise from the rhythm of their weekly gathering.
