A seagull found dead at a crime scene draws Kiel detective Klaus Borowski into a perplexing investigation that intertwines with the lives of refugees and local residents along the northern German coast. As Borowski and his colleague Mila Sahin dig deeper, they uncover tensions between communities and a trail of secrets that complicate their search for answers. The case forces both detectives to confront questions of belonging, justice, and the hidden desperation that drives people to desperate acts.
