A French anthology science-fiction series adapting stories from the celebrated Heavy Metal comic magazine, in which each episode presents a standalone tale set in a different world or time period. The connecting thread is a hurtling chunk of metal — the titular Métal Hurlant — which passes through the universe, bringing chaos and dark fate to those it visits. Episodes blend action, horror, and dark fantasy, featuring a rotating cast of international actors in self-contained narratives ranging from gladiatorial combat to post-apocalyptic struggles and supernatural encounters.
