An Italian family's comfortable domestic life is disrupted when they take in a couple seeking refuge, and the tensions that emerge between the two households gradually expose deep-seated prejudices and moral contradictions. What begins as an act of apparent generosity slowly unravels into conflict, forcing each character to confront uncomfortable truths about themselves and their society.
