The night watchman

There are several productions with this title, so without a director or year it is difficult to identify which one is intended. However, if this refers to the drama based on Louise Erdrich's novel, it follows Thomas Wazhashk, a Native American man working as a night watchman at a jewel-bearing plant in 1950s North Dakota, who leads a fight against a government proposal that threatens to strip his tribe of their rights and lands. Alongside his personal struggle, the story also traces the experiences of his young niece as she navigates her own challenges and searches for a missing friend.
