Colour from the Dark

An Italian farming family discovers a strange presence lurking beneath the water of their well, which begins to exert a corrupting and supernatural influence over them. As the malevolent force spreads, the household members undergo disturbing physical and psychological transformations, and the surrounding community is drawn into increasingly horrific events. The film draws on H.P. Lovecraft's short story "The Colour Out of Space," transposing its cosmic horror to rural wartime Italy.
