Omagh
Directed by Pete Travis
A dramatisation based on the 1998 Real IRA bombing in Omagh, Northern Ireland, which killed 29 people and remains the deadliest single attack of the Troubles. The film follows Michael Gallagher, whose son died in the blast, as he and other bereaved families grow frustrated by the lack of official accountability and pursue a civil legal action against suspected perpetrators. It is a portrait of grief transformed into determination, exploring how ordinary people challenge both paramilitaries and the state in their search for justice.
