Anne Frank: The Whole Story

Directed by Robert Dornhelm (2001)

Anne Frank and her family, along with four other Jewish people, spend over two years hiding in a concealed apartment annex in wartime Amsterdam, sustained by a small group of trusted helpers. The claustrophobic confinement strains relationships and tests individual character, while Anne pours her private hopes and observations into her diary. When the group is eventually betrayed and arrested, they are transported to Nazi concentration camps, where Anne and most of the others perish before liberation.
