Monkeybone

A cartoonist falls into a coma and finds himself trapped in Downtown, a surreal limbo populated by the manifestations of human fears and desires. There he encounters Monkeybone, the crude, anarchic character from his own comic strip, who schemes to escape into the real world by stealing the Dream Institute's supply of nightmare juice. When Monkeybone hijacks the cartoonist's body and returns to the land of the living, chaos ensues as the creature's reckless behaviour threatens to unleash mass hysteria across humanity.
