As he becomes increasingly absorbed in the case and the media circus surrounding it, the line between professional detachment and personal obsession begins to blur. The film uses the real-world inspiration of the Amanda Knox case as a springboard to explore themes of storytelling, guilt, and the way tragedy is transformed into entertainment.
