Between The Lines
Directed by Robert Bierman
A struggling independent newspaper in Boston faces mounting pressures from a new corporate owner whose profit-driven agenda threatens both its editorial independence and the livelihoods of its unconventional staff. The journalists, each wrestling with their own ambitions and personal lives, must confront whether to fight for the paper's soul or accept the compromises that come with commercial reality. Relationships among the tight-knit team are tested as idealism collides with the practical demands of survival in a changing media landscape.
