A bumbling Neapolitan detective becomes entangled in a dangerous case involving a notorious camorra boss, whose daughter has secretly fallen in love with a rising young singer. The unlikely romance between the two young people draws them both into the criminal underworld, forcing the hapless investigator to navigate a web of gangsters and deception. The film blends comedy, crime and musical elements against the vibrant backdrop of Naples.
