A pedantic and self-important German caretaker lords over his apartment block, interfering in the lives of residents and enforcing rules with pompous rigidity. The series follows his comedic clashes with tenants, neighbours and colleagues as his bumbling authority is repeatedly undermined. Each episode finds him stumbling into new disputes whilst remaining utterly convinced of his own indispensability.
