Der Himmel hat vier Ecken

Directed by Klaus Wirbitzky (2011)

A young boy growing up in rural East Germany during the Cold War era navigates the complexities of family life and the political pressures of life under a socialist regime. Through his innocent perspective, the story explores themes of loyalty, conformity, and the quiet tensions that exist within a community shaped by ideology. His coming-of-age journey forces him to confront difficult truths about the adults around him and the world he has inherited.
