A thirteen-year-old girl living in a provincial French town grows restless and dissatisfied with her ordinary life, yearning for something more exciting and glamorous. Her world is shaken when she befriends a young, celebrated pianist who seems to embody the sophistication and freedom she craves. The encounter forces her to confront the gap between her romantic fantasies and the reality of growing up.
