A former jewel thief who double-crossed her accomplices during a daring heist at the Cannes Film Festival assumes a new identity and disappears into a wealthy American life. Years later, a photographer in Paris inadvertently captures her image and threatens to expose her, setting in motion a dangerous game of manipulation and deceit. The film plays with notions of fate, coincidence, and identity, culminating in a twist that questions the reality of everything the viewer has witnessed.
