A middle-aged Austrian man returns to his rural childhood home to care for his ageing, cantankerous father, and the two must navigate a fraught and long-neglected relationship. The visit stirs up buried memories, family tensions, and unresolved questions about the past. Through their awkward daily routines and halting conversations, father and son slowly edge towards a fragile understanding of one another.
