Dalva
Directed by Emmanuelle Nicot
A teenage girl named Dalva is removed from her father's home by social services after it becomes clear she has been living in deeply inappropriate circumstances, having been groomed to act as his partner. Placed in a care facility, she initially resists the help of her social worker and a fellow resident, clinging to a distorted sense of the relationship she has left behind. Gradually, through the patience of those around her, she begins to reclaim her identity as a child and confront the reality of what was done to her.
