A young German woman working as a translator becomes deeply involved in the Frankfurt Auschwitz trials of the 1960s, forcing her to confront the horrors of the Nazi genocide and the uncomfortable truths about her own family's past. As she bears witness to harrowing testimony from survivors, she must reckon with the silence and complicity that shaped the generation before her. The series explores how post-war German society struggled to face its collective guilt and the personal cost of seeking justice.
