Silent Twins

June and Jennifer Gibbons are twin sisters who, having retreated into a private world of their own creation, refuse to speak to anyone outside their bond. Their shared imagination fuels an intense creative life, but their increasingly erratic behaviour eventually leads to their detention in Broadmoor psychiatric hospital. The film explores the painful tension between their inseparable connection and their individual desire for freedom.
