Alma und Oskar

A fictionalised account of the intense and turbulent love affair between the Viennese socialite and muse Alma Mahler and the expressionist painter Oskar Kokoschka in early twentieth-century Vienna. Their passionate relationship is depicted as mutually destructive, marked by obsession, artistic ambition, and emotional volatility. The film explores how both figures shaped and scarred one another during a period of great cultural ferment in the Habsburg capital.
